# MCP.pictures

## What it is for
- Handwritten notes to drafts, plans, and structured to-do lists.
- Iterative collaboration over sketches and paper.
- Visual context for physical objects and workshop projects.

## Discovery versus connection
MCP.pictures is a static product discovery and documentation website, not a working camera MCP endpoint. It does not collect email addresses; early access signup is closed.
The intended device-local service is http://mcppics.local/ on the user's network.
Obtain actual MCP endpoint, transport, authentication, and tools from that service.
A .local address is not directly reachable by a cloud-only agent.
Claude Desktop is supported through a local stdio bridge; local Codex and ChatGPT Desktop are supported through native Streamable HTTP configuration. All three clients must run on a host that can reach mcppics.local; the confirmed MCP endpoint path must come from the device service.
Do not auto-install, silently modify settings, or capture an image without user authorization.
Do not infer endpoint paths or tool names.
